Missing pulse detector (by Tom J.)
Does anyone have a missing pulse detector snippit written?
I can't think of a way to do it aside from a timer that times out between pulses but different speeds of the pulse train should fool that.
I'm thinking maybe something that counts the time between pulses to establish a baseline of the pulses ?

Use the TOF timer.

But that's a set timing cycle, it looks like changing the speed of the pulses would fool i?

You can measure the time between the last 2 pulses and if the next pulse does not come in within the calculated time then there is a missing pulse.

But time always plays an important role and with LDmicro that is the cycle time, you can't get away from that.

Basic question : how do you know a pulse is "missing"?
