OT? Jason Jacobs LCD hardware, and firmware license and source code? (by DanielH)
Hi.

I'm developing an Open Hardware + Free Software (LDmicro) project for educative purposes: a "quasi" PLC, PIC16F887 based.

As part of this project, following LDmicro Github wiki [1], I've developed an external HMI module for my PLC, implementing Modified HEX for PIC16F628 with MCRL enabled on RA5 (thanks, Ihor), plus a PIC16F628A Reset circuit (a restart option preventing that eventually PLC-HMI communication hangs).

It works very well together with my PLC, but being my project an OH + FS development that be published on march/april 2019, I'm a bit concerned on Jason Jacobs license on original hardware design, and on firmware license and source code availability.

http://www.freewebs.com/x7jay7x/ doesn't exists anymore, googling Jason Jacobs I've found a lot of results but none referred to this.

Do somone know what kind of license have JJ works, and if is available its firmware source code?

Your kind reply will be welcome!
Best regards,
DanielH
