hex file error (by kev )
Hello,
I have a problem with ver 3.3, i compile to hex file but when pickit 3 loads it tells me there is an error in hex file.
I try the same on ver 3.21 and all is o.k.
Has anyone experienced this?

Hi, I have attached the hex file, thanks.

We don't know the type of controller you use.
We cannot compare the 2 codes generated by v 3.2 and 3.3 therefor we need the LD file.

1) Error message "Couldn't open file ...." is not critical, please ignore it, I will fix this bug in 3.3.1 release.
2) About first post of kev. I haven't pickit 3. But I compile
encoder2.ld in 2.3, 3.3.0 and 3.2.1 releases. Hex file in 3.3.0 and 3.2.1 are IDENTICAL, and must cause the same(IDENTICAL) error message in pickit 3.
Question to kev: Are you sure that 3.2.1 ver is o.k?
3.2.1 hex file is shorter then 2.3, but it is normally.

Most of the programs do not work with Protheus, it's not Ldmicro but the simulator who has flaws.
Don't waste your time on Protheus.

I have compiled with all versions of ldmicro and noted the checksum as follows:
3.30 3002
3.21 949a
3.20 949a
3.10 19bd
2.3 19bd
This is reported by pickit3 software. All versions work apart from 3.30.
I hope this is some help.

I test encoder2 in Proteus.
It work in all versions of ldmicro.
And you can see encoder2.asm for MPASMWIN compiler.

You press the buttons and can see the signals on an virtual oscilloscope.

O.K. thanks for that, there may be a problem with my equipment then.
