Waveform generation with Atmel in Assembler (by Jorge Jacome)
Hi.

I am not sure , if this is an appropriate forum to ask my questions, but there is a famous phrase If you never try you will never know; so here it is.

My short term goal is to generate 2 synchronized TTL level signals of 20 Khz. +/- 1 Khz with a deadtime of 6 usec. between them, independent adjustment of frequency and duty cycle, resolution of 1 Hz frequency.

I have been reading documentation available on the Internet and it is pointed to use Direct Digital Synthesis waveform generation or DDS Techniques; but I am not sure if I try to complicate too much reason why ask for help or direction to point me on the right track.

I did manage to generate these 2 signals using ATMEGA16 in Assembler but I do not have a narrow frequency adjustment
which is fundamental

regards

Jorge

Why don't you use an SG3525 in this case, and use your Atmega for control.
You can set the deadtime and arrange the rest with the Atmega.
