up counter in atmega32 (by Gaurav Pethe)
Dear expert,
I am using Atmega32 for a certain program. I have to use a counter to indicate the number of cycles completed, in a shift. I am using a limit switch as a potential free input to the Atmega. But, whenever i set the counter true if value above 127. But, the counter is expected to count above 1000 counts. How can this ne achieved?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Gaurav.

Dear expert,
I am using Atmega32 for a certain program. I have to use a counter to indicate the number of cycles completed, in a shift. I am using a limit switch as a potential free input to the Atmega for sensing the end of cycle. Whenever I set the counter "true if" value above 127, it gives an error immediately after entering the number saying variable is out of range. The counter is expected to count 1000 counts. How can this be achieved?

Regards,
Gaurav.

Got it. I was using the counter as a up / down counter, it was showing the error. On sensing rejection part, the counter was programmed to decrement itself.
Thanks
