LDmicro is the opensource project. It has an only full version.

Like everyone says, LDmicro is GPL'd free software. If there's a feature that you want, then Ihor can probably add it (for everyone) for a price...

How would one sponsor or donate to the cause?
LDmicro provides us the tools to write one very simple language and compile to many different MCUs. This is an incredibly powerful tool. Thanks to this project it isn't necessary to learn many instruction sets, saving time and we all know time is money. If there is a way for those of us who benefit without being able to contribute intellectually to help monetarily it really should be more pronounced.
