I developed a PLC system for a college project last year and made a 50 page report as well as documenting the build and taking lots of development pictures.

I like your designed . I'm designing with 16F886 PIC but not OK with LDmicro. It don't work, I use crystal 20MHz. Do you any experience ?

very hard to know what could be wrong there. try to get your hands on a 20mhz Ceramic resonator instead of a crystal. the crystals can be harder to setup. requiring 2 caps etc. so the Ceramic resonator can be good for testing purposes. if you require great accuracy in your program timing then the more advance option would be the crystal.

Ya i used both the pic 16f887 and 16f877 in my projects. I dont know why but the pic 16f877 worked better in simulation mode with (proteus virtual system modeling). But your always best off using the newer chips.
