Hi, Jonathan.
First of all, congratulations for your effort in making a free-vendor PLC program. My question is: is it possible send/receive a single character variable to a DTE via UART when a PIC input is fired? I´m using a interface card with Microchip PIC16F877A and I wish to make a very simple interactive alarm system controlled by a remote PC, using RS-232 port. Do you have any .ld example of this? Thank you so much!!

Hi, all. I found the answer by myself. I´m using a Data acquisition board (Flexis PIC CLP by SmartRadio) with a MAX232 and PIC16F877A.
My goal is to create a simple supervisory (SCADA) system for this PIC project specifically (very likely to hyperterminal). Here´s an example of an alarm system that sends characters when a digital input is fired.
