USING TQFP Package for PIC16F877A (by Roy)
Hi Jonathan
I have gone from using the 44 pin PLCC package to using the TQFP package. The pin numbers are different and I changed this in the Mcutable file. Is this enough. I am not sure that it has changed the pin numbers in the Ldmicro compiler ? Is there anything else I need to do ?
I can see all the correct pin numbers in the pin assignment window so I assumed that it had been changed correctly.
I am enclosing the Mcutable file that I used to change the pin numbers .
Many Thanks
Roy

I haven't looked closely, and I'm not sure why you replaced the PDIP part, instead of keeping it and creating a new TQFP part. But yes, there's generally nothing to change between packages except the map between pin numbers and I/O register bits, in the McuIoPinInfo (and McuAdcPinInfo, and special PWM or UART pin) definitions.
