LDmicro with PIC18F2455 (by Roger Santana)
Is there any way to compile an hex file from LDmicro for the PIC18F2455, i need to use this micro, is this posible?, i mean for the usb functionality, or is there any other way to use usb funtionality via ftdi driver, i only need to generate the hex file, for use with bootloader, if its posible with other pic model, please let me know it, bye

thanks:

any help is welcome, this is a school project

LDmicro cannot currently generate code for any PIC18 parts. That's a different instruction set from the PIC16s.

I'm not sure why you mentioned the FTDI drivers. FTDI makes separate ICs that convert from USB to logic level async serial. If you are using an FTDI part, then there is no reason to use a USB micro like the PIC18F2455. The FTDI parts (or other vendors' USB to serial chips) can be used with any microcontroller with a UART, including many PIC16s and AVRs.
