MAX chip uses SPI interface.
LDmicro can bit bang SPI. Check LDmicro wiki for SPI tutorial.

As long as there is no possibility to send variables to SPI as we can with the UART instruction then it is not worth using this.

Build it into a voltage divider like the interfacing examples.
