Separation Of Digital I/Os (by Nasr)
Dear Sir,

Is there any possibility for predefined Input and Outputs as the pins predefined in analog when we double click i/o list selection. Can we reserve the predefined input and output pins through the software, if possible please put some light on that, how it could be achieved.

Thanks and Regards

I hope i understand your question.

You can use the instructions "open circuit" or " short circuit".

You also can program the inputs inverted, open contact programmed as close contact.

I read this as:

OK.. so when I need analogue inputs, the pins are predefined.Choice is of course limited to micro controller interface availability.
If i need a digital Input or Output pin, I am free to make the pin selection from available pins.

I have been looking to lay out a general purpose controller board.
This of course means I need to predefine pin assignment in line with specific pin capabilities.
I mean it would not do to assign an analogue input capable pin to a digital relay driver functionality and conversely it would not do to assign a PWM output capable pin to be a digital input functionality.

It is possible to write a dummy series of statement to which pins are predetermined to provide various specialised functionalities and NOT USE THEM as general purpose I/O pins.
By understanding the range of functions a pin can offer the user can make judicious assignment and not waste resources through inappropriate pin usage.
