Which PIC kit? (by Jacob Mortensen)
Hi, I'm new in to PIC but have some experience with PLC.

I will buy a PIC kit, but I don't know which?

I will use it for control of different things. For example to control an air condition or on air compressors.

Can someone give me a good advice on which kit i should buy?

I have been looking on the PICKIT2 from microchip, is this a good kit?

Jean-Pierre: Can you explain why you would recommend PICKIT3 over PICKIT2?

Boris: It sounds very interesting, but i don't know what ''Positive 20'' is. Can you tell what it is? And do you have a link to it?

Le PICKIT2 est obsolète.

Il ne prend pas en charge les nouveaux Pic.

As I see the pickit3 comes just with a demo board. Cant I buy some kind of programming board, so that I can put the program in the microchip?

Or do I have to make a programming board myself?

Why don't you give it a try to the ARM-Cortex-M0 CPUs?

hi Jacob
The pickit3 is a programmer and debugger. You need to make a board to meet your specifications or you can buy from ebay .
What microcontroller you intend to use?
