LDmicro Forum - Support for ATMEGA2560

Support for ATMEGA2560 (by Oguz)

I started adding support for ATMEGA2560 ( 100 TQFP ). I added the port/pin parameters to mcutable.h. I have attached the modified files.

It does not yet compile properly; also ADC, timers, PWM, UART needs work. Immediate goal is to compile and support I/O ports.

I have hardware to test this.

Excellent. That would be useful.

If you (or anyone else) want to do a target for the official release, then I would suggest that you first get everything working and tested, including all the peripherals.

Then if you post the changes plus a compiled (.exe) version of the program on these forums, other people can test and use the new version. Then, if all seems good, I'll add the changes to the next release.

And I'm not very picky about coding standards, but please use the same indent style: increments of four spaces, and convert tabs to spaces (i.e., the tab character should never appear in the file; it should always be four spaces).

Let me know if there's anything you need.

Jonathan,

I don't know when I will be able to work on this next; that is why I attached my MCU definitions for 2560, in case somebody else wanted to work on it when I was away.

It would be nice at some point to have a version control system ( Sourceforge ? )

When do you plan the next release ?

I will watch for tabs.

By the way, something is strange about the forum. It is showing "3 replies" to my post on the thread list page but then I only see 1 reply when I open the thread.

Thanks

Oz

I have a private Perforce server. I might consider opening it up if someone were making major changes, but for little stuff like that I don't think it's necessary.

The only difference between my dev version and the latest release is PIC16F88x support. I'll probably wait a few months, see if anything else gets in.

There was a bug in the forum software relating to the indicated number of replies, which should be fixed now.
