I think that a useful function could be add MODBUS RTU Slave protocol.
There are varius, free and opensource, implementations of MODBUS for PIC and AVR.

A little workaround, now, could be compile ladder to output C and modify by hand adding mobus library.

I think that this feature could trasform this project in a professional tool and a very valid method to learn professional PLC programming.
