lcd (by smorc)
hi hd44780
shared within the forum. How can I use the 2nd line in the serial lcd program. How can I specify the spacing I want in rows?

I want to write it in different places such as the beginning, middle and end of the 1st line. I could not use the 2nd line at all, I would appreciate if you can help.

I have uploaded the whole file here. I'm thinking of using a 2x16 screen. how can i use different fields of rows. and if possible how do i read 1024 for an adc reading 5volt and show it on the screen.

2) here you have the commands for col and row

thank you dear alex for me to learn again. do you recommend this serial method or I2C method. I use microchip 16f887 in general. I would be grateful for any suggestions

her iki yöntemde hafıza sorunu aynımı benim ğrogramşarın %30 kadar dolu oluyor.

If I show the status of a few digital outputs and one ADC reading on the screen, I think it will reach 70% occupancy. Will this be an extreme problem for this processor, I will start the lessons after I get your opinion on them. Thank you in advance.

Hi smorc, yes, the limitation using the serial lcd method is that it uses a lot of memory, I wasn´t able to use I2C with ldmicro, maybe you could give it a try. On the other hand you can "play" (test) with different ladder configuration for reducing space, see image attach, I had some memory problems until I tested other ways to reduce

yes, when I look at it, if I choose a processor like the atmega2560, it can knit my work very comfortably. The memory problem for the 16f series is quite a lot.

I've never used atmel before but I think it'll be easy

I'm going to start working on it.
first, my program is in the form of few commands. If it is not enough, I will continue with Atmel. I think it will take some time. Thank you very much for the information.
