initial step (by mic)
Hi!, simple question, i want to have my X1 first step to be INIT, is there something i didnt see, or i have to create a tricky OSR bit, or or physical reset input ?

thx a lot, and your program ROX, its what i wanted to save time and create a miniature elevator for kids project.

I'm not sure that I understand. Do you have a digital input X1, and want the value of that input to read as true during the first scan of the program, independent of the actual state of the pin? If so, then an OSR in parallel with the contacts would indeed be the best way to code that.

X1 is a bit, not an input, its my first step of my grafcet.

grafcet, initial step (by hunoell)
Hi Mic,
perhaps I know, what you actually mean, because I used to study grafcet of Siemens S5 somewhen in the 80ties.
Grafcet could never really gain acceptance, because it is not really practicable. Imagine some operator changes over to the manual mode and intervenes the process. In this case one would have to start the step-to-step chain = grafcet from the initial step on.
An elevator program in grafcet, I could imagine, would have to stop the elevator at each floor and then return to the ground floor.
I have a 4-floor elevator program prepared, written in LDmicro. If you want, I can send it to you.
