Before I download and get everything set up. Is this software similar to the rs logix. Like Allen Bradley. Is it able to do basically the same thing?

What does rs logix do? Who is Allen Bradley? Download and read the Manual..it is a shortish text document and the whole LDmicro does not screw around with Your windows instalation. Alan Bradley is a well known professional equipment manufacturer...LDmicro is a hobyist Ladder logic programing environment for a number of bare metal microcontrollers.

The software is targetted at microcontrollers and design to perform most PLC program functions. Unlike Allen Bradly, you cannot do online simulation and equipment diagnosis yet. You will also have to create your hardware to match Allen Bradley industrial standard. If you are very familiar with these brand name PLCs, you will find LDmicro very interesting when creating microcontroller projects.
