Hello Mark ,

I am currently looking into the business of controlling the speed of a servo motor in addition to planing the trajectory profile of the motor.

This is to say adjusting motor speed to meet a time distance profile along with motor acceleration.

I have been looking into the quadrature encoder instruction but find the loop time of the ladder is limiting the performance with the shaft encoder i have and the motor speed i need to achieve.

I have therefore decided to not use the quadrature encoder instruction and incorporate a divide by 4 hardware divider into one of the quadrature encoder outputs to obtain reasonable pulse rate to ensure a reasonable ;adder loop time.

I expect to have the hardware ( motor mechanism in the next couple of weeks and in the meantime I am putting together the electronics controller.
