ATmega32 any gotchas (by Ziggy)
I am planing to use an ATmega 32 for a particular task ( ATmega328 doesn't have enough IO lines)

Anybody used/using ATmega32?

Any problems or gotchas ( got you..traps for Young monkeys ) with ATmega32 and LDmicro?

Thank You

May be you could use Atmega 328 with 74hc595 shift register to increase i/o pins but I don't try it in ldmicro
So if you try it give us the steps please

Hello, Zig.
I use the ATmega 32 in a PLC that I do and I have no problem. I use a lot of time!
Good luck!!!

Hello, Zig.
I need to clarify one thing:

if you observe the number of inputs and outputs of this CLP will realize that it is higher than the ATmerga 32, in fact this model (FPMG1618) was assembled with the ATmega128, later it is that I started to use the ATmega32 in this CLP, which happened to be CP1417M32).

At the moment I do not have the actual photo, this is a print I use to put in front.

Magno,

Thank You for your opinions and expertise.

I started the idea thinking the 328 would do the job. And then the specification creep occurred.
I even tried to compress the pin count by using analog port with a bank of dip switches and voltage divider in the hope of decoding one of eight lines and in the end it was simpler to go with something like the 32.

regards

Zig

Hello Magno, very interesting what you did, i really like it, i wanted to ask you if you used an industrial design close to a real plc?

Hi Alex, maybe I did not understand your question well when translated.
As for the design, I've developed everything. based on this box that you see in the photo, this box is manufactured here in Brazil by PATOLA ELETROPLASTICOS. about the application, I use this CLP in industrial environment yes. I work in a textile industry (www.fiacaopatamute.com.br), I have developed for local use clp's of 3 different sizes. and other hardware always using the AVR's (ATmega8, 32, 328, 128.)

Thanks for answering Magno, i really want to build CLP design for industrial environment, electrical noise, movement, etc, do you know about where can i find an example design for industrial environment?

Your design looks interesting, do they send to Perú this box?
