Hello ,
I have a simple plc board with a 628A on it . I built my first program according to the manual but nothing happens . PICKit 2 reported successful programing . How can I get it to work?
Cheers

Can you post the program.
Also check the settings (crystal frequency, microcontroller).

You must set programmer to use configuration from generated .HEX file or set it you self.

Hello,
thank you for the quick reply !
I've set the frequency accordingly and selected the 628 MCU as the 628A is not available in the menu .
Also how can I set the programmer to do that ? I'm running everything on debian .
Cheers

The 628 is equal as the 628a.
I have made a new program and compiled it with the same output pins.
If this does not work you have made a error in the hardware.
You can also post your schematic if you still have problems.
Good luck

Hello ,
I don't have a schematic for it since it is an assembled module . In the user manual however states that the configuration bits should be set at 210A ,but it doesn't seem to be working . There are no dedicated jumpers on the board to get it in run state . The only header is th ICSP and it is with a different order to that on the pic kit . The device accepts the program and I can rad the contents . I still haven't compared the two .hex files .
P.S. The cable length is 31cm . Is that ok ?

Can you say model of your module?
Is this part of other device?
Have you a hpoto of module?
May be is any links and sites?
Give more information.
I would suggest that you take out the pic from the board and program it on a breadboard.
Some programmers will not work if there is a led connected to the program pins.
