You could use a five-wire resistive touch screen, by connecting the sense wire to an A/D input, and the other four wires to digital outputs. Then drive the digital outputs with {top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left} equal to {1, 1, 0, 0} and A/D convert for the y coordinate, or {1, 0, 0, 1} for the x coordinate. There's no good way to use a four-wire touch screen.
