i bought a few of thies serial to parallel converters

i cant get my micro-controller to communicate and display something like "hello"
set the baud rate to 9600
using the tx(17) on the pic16f876
rx on the serial LCD
i tryed using some the the sample code for lcds on this forum with no luck at all.
if anyone has some sample serial lcd code that might work please post
