Usage for Shift Register (by Ian)
Hi,

I am new to ladder logic and am finding this program a useful aid, I do have quite a bit of experience in electronics and micros.

I am having a bit of a problem, which will just be me doing something silly, would anyone be good enough to send me some working examples using shift registers, any other examples also gratefully received.

Thanks in advance

Ian

Thank you (by Ian)
Hi Frank,

Thanks for the file, I must be doing something really silly! I want to take a number of digital inputs and shift them to a data byte. Looking at your file I am in the right direction but if I change the uart to a input I get the error 'variable char not assigned to, e.g. with a mov statement, an add statement etc.' I have named the input 'char' and not changed anything else.

I will keep working on it, as I say I am very new to ladder programming, day 2.

Thank you again for your help.

Cheers

Ian
