hello, i want to send signal far away like 15km to activate an input pin of 16f877A, i was searching in the internet, there is alot of ways todo it, using ESP8266, embedded web server or a 15 km rf antenna, could you give some ideas?, because i want to use ldmicro and i think using a 15km antenna is the best way or using ansi c and adding the library of the ESP8266, anyway i want to use ldmicro generated hex because time is more accurate than compiling in ansic with pic c compiler, thanks a lot.

That's a complex system, i think you can use 2 microcontroller.
First MCU is used for communication and give digital input to the second MCU for triggering its outputs.

i want to use the GSM shield connected to uart, but at the same time i want to use an lcd, ldmicro only supports serial lcd, the problem is that 8 bit MCUs only have 1 uart pin (Tx Rx), so i found this information in the internet:

http://www.billporter.info/201...add-multiple-uart-connections/

would it be possible to use one single uart to to connect serial lcd and GSM?
